PIERCING AFTERCARE
Basic Aftercare:
Spray your piercing with sterile saline wound wash (can be found in the first aid department). Spray 3-4 times daily until the piercing is healed. You can also soak a cotton ball or clean paper towel in the solution and apply as a compress. If you are unable to get sterile saline you can also do a warm water compress though the solution is highly recommended.

Oral Piercing Aftercare:
Oral piercings tend to be swollen for several days. Such on ice as much as possible for the first few days to keep swelling at a minimum. After you eat, drink, or smoke rinse out your mouth with a solution of 3 parts water and 1 part antiseptic mouthwash. Rinsing your mouth out with salt water twice daily is also advised. Try to avoid spicy or acid food and no one's body fluids are to come in contact with the piercing.

Helpful Tips
Never touch your piercing with dirty hands, make sure to wash hands thoroughly before cleaning your piercing.

Do not constrict the piercing, keeping the piercing in an unnatural state can cause complications.

Keep makeup, hair products, lotions, etc. away from the piercing as it heals.

Avoid soaking the piercing in swimming pools, hot tubs, etc. for the first couple of months.

Do not use rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, antibiotic ointments, betadine (povidone iodine), or ear care solution (benzylkonium chloride).
